How many times have you thought it?
Who am I to…
- Start my own business
- Go for the promotion
- Ask him/her out
- Be happy
It slips into our minds so easily, and holds us back from doing all of the things.
It’s usually followed by a slippery little sidekick of a thought, “I’m not (fill in the blank) enough.”
- Good looking
The list goes on and on. I’ve had those thoughts, we all have.
“We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? Your playing small does not serve the world.”
- Marianne Williamson
Questioning your worth is a symptom of smallness. And there is no room in our world for you to play small my loves.
Smallness exists when we shrink out of fear. Fear to let our light shine.
Life is too short to temper our largeness, to dim our brightness.
As we move into the final days of summer, I am calling upon each of you to capture every last drop of sunshine. Encapsulate it. Embody it. Make it your fuel to be brilliant, gorgeous, illuminated you.
Instead of asking “who am I to…”, expand into your brightness, let it shine and reframe the question:
“Who am I not to be anything but the largest most brilliant version of me?”
